New data: big salary gains for top-paid association CEOs

Associations are opting to increase bonus pay rather than base salary; data from more groups to emerge in the next few months A $2 million salary for an association CEO is now old news. With the current data available, 21 CEOs earned more than $2 million in the latest tax year, and that's expected to grow as more disclosures become available. In 2007, only four association CEOs earned more than $2 million.
